Supporting the children of Honduras
and their families since 1973
What is it?

£5 buys 2 fruit trees, namely banana and various varieties of orange trees. In the case of the poor people living in the mountains, a small bag of fertiliser is also included to feed the new saplings.

Why it is important

The people who live in the remote rural villages know how to tend these trees. This is how some earn what little money they can by working in the fields for the plantation owners at planting and harvest times.
However, they cannot afford to purchase a tree of their own even though they can usually find a space to grow one.
